HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Larry Stoll on his
4retirement as Director of Records Management with the Addison
5Police Department on April 28, 2011; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Larry Stoll began his career with the Village of
7Addison Police Department in May of 1978; he served as a Patrol
8Officer, School Liaison Officer at Addison Trail High School,
9Sergeant, Commander for the Support Services Division, and
10Deputy Chief; and
 
11    WHEREAS, During his tenure as Deputy Chief, he was
12instrumental in bringing the school-based resource center
13concept to the Village of Addison by assisting in the formation
14of the first school-based resource center in DuPage County; he
15serves on the Board of Directors for the Center as Vice
16Chairman; and
 
17    WHEREAS, In his role as the first accreditation manager for
18the Department, he helped the Department achieve national
19accreditation status in 2000; he later became a certified
20assessor for the Commission on Accreditation for Law
21Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and has assessed numerous law
22enforcement agencies around the country that have applied for

1national accreditation status; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Mr. Stoll received his Bachelor's degree in
3Education from Roosevelt University and is a graduate of
4Northwestern University's School of Police Staff and Command;
5in 1998, he became a graduate of the 194th Session of the FBI
6National Academy, a prestigious training program for command
7personnel involved in the administration of police agencies; he
8received his Masters degree in Criminal/Social Justice in 2001
9from Lewis University; and
 
10    WHEREAS, In June of 2006, he retired from his sworn
11position as Deputy Chief and was hired back in a civilian
12capacity as Director of Records Management; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
15we congratulate Larry Stoll on his retirement and wish him the
16very best in all his future endeavors; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to Larry Stoll as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
