HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Patrick Horcher on his retirement as a Trustee of the Village of Wheeling; and

WHEREAS, He has served as a Trustee of the Village of Wheeling since May 1, 1995; and

WHEREAS, He has worked as a Trustee to ensure that all of the Village residents are provided with high-quality public service; he has treated the citizens of Wheeling with dignity and fairness during his tenure; and

WHEREAS, He was instrumental in promoting diversity and mutual respect in the community; he has helped to safeguard the delivery of essential services to all citizens, regardless of their social, economic, racial, or ethnic background; and

WHEREAS, His valued perspective and unique expertise have benefitted the Village of Wheeling and the broader region in a number of capacities, not only with his service as a Trustee but also with his work serving on the Cook County Farm Bureau Board since 1994; in addition, he also served as the Acting President of the Village of Wheeling from January 24, 2008 to September 12, 2008; and

WHEREAS, After serving the Village of Wheeling for the past 16 years, his tenure as a Trustee has come to an end; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Patrick Horcher on his retirement as a Trustee of the Village of Wheeling and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Patrick Horcher as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
