HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Teutopolis Junior High School Boys Baseball team, the Wooden Shoes, on winning the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 2A Boys State Baseball Tournament; and

WHEREAS, The team won for a second year in a row against Crest Hill Richland with a final score of 8-7; and

WHEREAS, Teutopolis led 8-0 going into the top of the 7th, when Crest Hill Richland scored 7 runs; Teutopolis would not let them score again; and

WHEREAS, The Coach of the Wooden Shoes is Kent Niebrugge; the Assistant Coaches are John Bushur and Alex Ritz; the Athletic Director is Andrew Johnson; the team managers are Wyatt Hewing, Justice Coventry, and Andrew Hemmen; and

WHEREAS, The members of the team are: Michael Drees, Jacob Roepke, Devin Smith, Wes Brummer, Kyle Hardiek, Jason Kenter, Kyle Smith, Chris Ungrund, Blake Mette, Ryan Kremer, Austin Johnson, John Kreke, Matt Weber, Tyler Westendorf, Matt Koester, Brock Shannon, Brett Mette, and Caleb Mitchell; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Teutopolis Junior High School Boys Baseball team on their great season and impressive State victory; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Coach Kent Niebrugge and the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
