HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Gary Mical on the occasion of his retirement as Superintendent of Wheeling Township Elementary District 21; and

WHEREAS, Gary Mical spent 38 years in education in the Chicago suburbs and 20 years as a superintendent, with 10 years as superintendent at Fremont Elementary District 79 before coming to District 21; he subsequently served as Superintendent of Wheeling Township Elementary District 21 until his retirement on June 30, 2012; and

WHEREAS, During his tenure as Superintendent, Gary Mical led District 21 through a redistricting process, a successful tax increase campaign, and staff contract negotiations; and

WHEREAS, Gary Mical serves as a model of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Gary Mical on the occasion of his retirement and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Gary Mical as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
