HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Frances Johnson is a loyal Democrat, actively involved in the political process; and

WHEREAS, She is an engaged citizen who honors her civic duties and has vigorously campaigned for Democratic candidates at the local, township, county, State, and national levels; and

WHEREAS, She has spent countless hours stuffing envelopes, distributing campaign literature, knocking on doors, attending Democratic fund raisers, and serving as an election judge; and

WHEREAS, The late Retired United States Air Force Master Sergeant Thomas W. Johnson also served the Democratic Party, acting as Chouteau 7 Democratic Precinct Committeeman, Chouteau Township Trustee, Chairman of the North Central Democratic Committee, Madison County Executive Board Member, and President of the Madison County Township Officials Association; and

WHEREAS, The late Mr. Johnson inspired Mrs. Johnson to serve the Democratic Party through grass roots political efforts; and

WHEREAS, Frances Johnson is celebrating her 90th birthday; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Frances Johnson on her 90th birthday and wish her continued good health and happiness for years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Frances Johnson as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
