SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply
3saddened to learn of the death of Elisabeth H. Gustafson (nee
4Hardin) of Western Springs, who passed away on November 11,
52012; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Elisabeth Gustafson was born in Chicago; she was a
7graduate of Beloit College in Beloit, Wisconsin, and a member
8of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Elisabeth Gustafson taught at LaGrange High
10School for 27 years; she relished her role as a teacher who
11could inspire her students to learn, believe, and soar in their
12own capabilities; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Elisabeth Gustafson reveled in the power of music
14and seldom missed concerts in which her friends played; she
15enjoyed devoting time and serving her church; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Elisabeth Gustafson was preceded in death by her
17mother, Mildred Hardin; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Elisabeth Gustafson is survived by her children,
19John Gustafson, Beth Gustafson, Jean (Tim) O'Sullivan, and Anne
20Cannavino; and her grandchildren, Kristen and Sarah Cannavino

1and Matthew, Jack, and Meghan O'Sullivan; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Elisabeth Gustafson, and we extend our sincere condolences to
5her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Elisabeth Gustafson as an expression
9of our deepest sympathy.
