SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joyce E. Johnson of Waukegan, who passed
4away on March 3, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joyce Johnson was born on May 27, 1937, in
6Waukegan; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Joyce Johnson served as the school nurse at Warren
8High School in Gurnee from 1970 until her retirement in 2004;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joyce Johnson was a very involved member of the
11Most Blessed Trinity Parish in Waukegan and North Chicago,
12where she served as an Extraordinary Minister and a Homebound
13and Hospital Eucharistic Minister; she was a former member of
14the Parish Council and served on the School Board of the old
15Holy Family Parish in North Chicago and the Queen of Peace
16Parish Council in North Chicago; she was also a member of the
17Lake County Catholic Nurses Association and the Lake County
18Right to Life organization; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joyce Johnson was preceded in death by her
20parents, Arthur and Bernice; and

1    WHEREAS, Joyce Johnson is survived by her husband of 50
2years, Ron Johnson; her sons, Jeff Johnson and Ronald (Julie)
3Johnson Jr.; her daughters, Debbie (Randy) Fabry, Robin
4(Christopher) Fabry, and Lynn (Douglas) Byron; her
5grandchildren, Ryan and Hannah Fabry; Allison and Kayce Fabry,
6Derek and Kyle Johnson, and Courtney and Reilly Byron; and her
7many extended family members and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10her family and friends, the passing of Joyce E. Johnson; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joyce Johnson as an expression of
14our sympathy.
