SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Officer John G Sweitz, who passed away June 24, 1928; and

WHEREAS, Officer Sweitz was employed by the Cook County Sheriff's Highway Police, where he served faithfully; and

WHEREAS, Officer Sweitz was survived by his wife and three small children; and

WHEREAS, Officer Sweitz dedicated and gave his life to protecting and serving the people of Illinois; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Officer John Sweitz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Officer Sweitz as an expression of our sympathy.
