SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George Plese of Joliet, who passed away March 20, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was third generation Joliet resident and former United States Marine; and

WHEREAS, He was retired from Cement Masons, Local #11; he was a member of the American Legion Post #1080, VFW Cantigny Post #367, and the Croation Club; he was an avid fisherman and world traveler; and

WHEREAS, George Plese is survived by his wife of 51 years, Arlene (nee Tallman) Plese; his daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Delrose, Cynthia (Theodore) Jarz, and Vicky (John) Ramuta; he was Bopa to 6 grandchildren, Chad and Alyssa Delrose, Rachel and Jacob Jarz, and Michael and Matthew Ramuta; his brother, Anthony (Dorothy) Plese; his sisters, Mary (Conrad) Kuszynski, Joyce (Willard) Pearson, and Shirley (Ernie) Hicks; his brother-in-law, Bud Tallman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of George Plese; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Plese as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
