SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frederic E. Doederlein of East Dundee,
4who passed away on September 23, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein was born on April 3, 1927, in
6Elgin; his parents were Walter and Charlotte (nee Sylvester)
7Doederlein; he married his loving wife, DeLoris, on July 17,
81953; he was a lifelong resident of East Dundee; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein was a 1945 graduate of Dundee
10Community High School and a 1951 graduate of Valparaiso
11University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business
12law; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein proudly served in the United
14States Navy during World War II aboard the USS DeHaven; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein was the owner and operator of
16Fred Doederlein Lumber and Fred Doederlein Enterprises; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein was a life member and a past
18commander of Tri-Cities Evergreen VFW Post #2298 and a member
19of the Carpentersville American Legion; he was also a lifelong
20and active member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in West

1Dundee; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein was preceded in death by his
3parents and his brother, Ted; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Frederic Doederlein is survived by his wife of 58
5years, DeLoris; his children, Mark (Karen) Cole, Dr. Stephen
6(Bobbi Jo) Rittmann, Robert (Susie) Rittmann, Martha (Scott)
7Lehman, and Carol Hardt; his nine grandchildren; his six
8great-grandchildren; his sister, Kate (Jim Bernhardt)
9Counsell; his sister-in-law, Gloria Doederlein; and his many
10nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13his family and friends, the passing of Frederic E. Doederlein;
14and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Frederic Doederlein as an expression
17of our sympathy.
