SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Emmett "Bill" Gara II of Aurora, formerly of Schaumburg, who passed away on October 7, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was born March 21, 1969, in Evanston; he was a 1987 graduate of St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights and attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa; and

WHEREAS, He was an avid football fan and loved the University of Michigan, the University of Notre Dame, and the Chicago Bears; and

WHEREAS, William Gara II was the adoring husband of over 7 years to Meg (nee Lee); the loving father of Kelsey; the beloved son of William and the late Judy (nee Dunn); the dear brother of Michael (Piper), Tim (Julie), Pat (Rita), and Meghan (Ed) Jacobs; the fond son-in-law of the late William (the late Nancy) Lee; the beloved brother-in-law of Bill (Carol), Tim (Debbie), Katy (Bob) Supple, and Kevin (Christine); the loving nephew of Jack and Tom (Therese); and the proud uncle of many nieces and nephews; he will be missed by countless friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William Gara II; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Gara II as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
