SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard Lee Clayborne, Sr., of
4Springfield, who passed away on January 31, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born August 25, 1941 in St. Louis,
6Missouri, the son of Oscar and Goldie Clayborne; he married
7Ruby M. Farris on June 10, 1967; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Feitshans High School; he was
9the owner and operator of Reliable Garbage Service; and
 
10    WHEREAS, He loved to fish and watch sports; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his son, George
12Williams; and his sister-in-law, Roslyn Clayborne; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Richard Clayborne, Sr. is survived by his wife,
14Ruby Clayborne; his parents, Oscar and Goldie Clayborne; his
15daughters, Robin Clayborne and Mary Ann Ewing; his son, Richard
16L. Clayborne II; his sisters, Janet Glass (Tom), Rose Trent,
17and Elaine Gaworski; his brothers, Alfred Clayborne, Sr. and
18Ronald Jackson; his 13 grandchildren; his 12
19great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins;
20therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3his family and friends, the passing of Richard Lee Clayborne,
4Sr.; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Richard Lee Clayborne, Sr. as a
7symbol of our sincere sympathy.
