| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph "Joe" J. Szczeblewski of DuQuoin, | 4 | | who passed away on October 31, 2011; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born March 30, 1922, in Tamaroa, a son to | 6 | | John and Dorothy (Kaucharski) Szczeblewski; on February 22, | 7 | | 1943, he married Cecil Stanhouse in Radom; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in | 9 | | DuQuoin, had worked for Missouri Pacific Railways, retiring | 10 | | after 30 years, and had farmed all of his life; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, He enjoyed fishing, pinochle, and listening to | 12 | | Cardinals games on the radio, but he dearly loved spending time | 13 | | with his family on Sunday afternoons at his son Jim's house; | 14 | | and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his | 16 | | son-in-law, David Dawson; and his brothers, Ray Szczeblewski | 17 | | and one in infancy; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Szczeblewski is survived by his wife of 68 | 19 | | years, Cecil Stanhouse; his children, Gretchen Dawson, Gary | 20 | | Szczeblewski, Jim ("Trish") Szczeblewski, Mike (Krista) |
