SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Cuma B. Justus of Woodstock, who passed away on October 31, 2011; and

WHEREAS, She was born November 7, 1911, in Rueter, Missouri, to Irvin and Rosema (Tennyson) Davis; she married Lloyd E. Justus on May 4, 1935, in Greensburg, Kansas; and

WHEREAS, She was a charter member of the Assembly of God Church in Woodstock; she was very active in the Homemakers Association; she was also very involved with her children's activities and would always help the other children that were participating as well; she loved spending time with her loving family, especially her children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 70 years, Lloyd E. Justus; her 3 brothers; and her sister; and

WHEREAS, Cuma Justus is survived by her sons, Gary (Deborah) Justus and Randy (Susan) Justus; her grandchildren, Shari (Kenneth) Robelia, Rebecca (Stephen) Gaunky, and Joel Justus; as well as many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Cuma Justus; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Cuma Justus as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
