SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward J. Stanclik, Sr. of Hegewisch, who passed away on November 22, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army during World War II; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of the Wolf Lake Sportsman's Club, VFW, and Young at Hearts; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, John and Kyle; and his sister, Jean (late John) Piotrowski; and

WHEREAS, Edward Stanclik, Sr. was the beloved husband of the late Anna Stanclik (nee Cap); he was the oving father of Edward (Sheryl) Stanclik and Melissa (John) Schaller; he was the caring grandfather of Melanie, Richard, Samantha, Bradley, and Jack; he was the proud great grandfather of Scotty; he was the caring brother of George (Lottie) Stenslik; and he was the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Edward J. Stanclik, Sr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward J. Stanclik, Sr. as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
