SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mildred M. "Millie" Rydman of Joliet, who
4passed away on March 4, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mildred Rydman was born on October 22, 1918, in
6Joliet; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mildred Rydman was the owner of the Bluebird
8Coffee Shop on Ottawa Street and on Chicago Street in downtown
9Joliet; in 1980, she retired from the Will County Treasurer's
10Office and began work at the office of her youngest son, George
11E. Rydman and Associates; she truly enjoyed the busy office
12life and made many friends during her many years there before
13retiring again in 2006; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Mildred Rydman was a longtime member of St. George
15Serbian Orthodox Church; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mildred Rydman was preceded in death by her
17beloved husband, John E. Rydman; her beloved son, Dr. Robert J.
18Rydman; her parents, Rade and Sophie Ostoich; her sisters, Mary
19Ostoich, Helen Schusner, and Patricia Bakke; and her brothers,
20Nicholas Ostoich, Paul Ostoich, and George Ostoich; and

1    WHEREAS, Mildred Rydman is survived by her devoted son,
2George E. Rydman; her daughter, Jacquie (Roger) Habenicht; her
3grandchildren, Estlin, Lynne, Jill, Grace, and Jack; her
4sister, Bertha O'Brien; and her many nieces and nephews;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8her family and friends, the passing of Mildred M. "Millie"
9Rydman; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Mildred Rydman as an expression of
12our sympathy.
