SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Teresa Lynn Bourn; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn was born on November 4, 1970, in
5Chicago; her parents were James Leon, Jr. and Jamie Lynn Bourn;
6and
 
7    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn attended Henderson Elementary School
8in Chicago and graduated from Van Steuben High School in 1988;
9she later attended Roosevelt University; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn was an employee of George F. Brown
11for over 15 years; her last position held there was assistant
12treasurer/vice president; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn began her Christian experience as a
14child at St. Luke under the leadership of Elder Luke Austin,
15Sr.; as an adult, she became a faithful member of New Original
16C.O.G.I.C., under the leadership of Elder Thomas Jackson, Jr.,
17where she gave her life to the Lord and received the gift of
18the Holy Spirit; she went on to attend Lighthouse under the
19leadership of Pastor Dan Willis; at the time of her passing,
20she was a member of End Time Full Gospel Ministries, under the
21leadership of Apostle Donald R. Williams, where she was a

1Sunday school teacher, church secretary/treasurer,
2intercessor/altar worker, choir/praise team, and worship team
3member; she was also editor of the church newsletter,
4"Prophetic Times"; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn enjoyed shopping, fine dining,
6traveling, scrap booking, talking, and spending time with her
7family, friends, and her beloved pet, FiFi; she was also an
8avid Eschatologist, one who studies Biblical prophecy; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn was preceded in death by her father,
10James; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Teresa Bourn is survived by her mother, Jamie; her
12sisters, Cyndi (Keith and Harmony) and Cynthia (Scott); her
13grandmother, Alyce Stern; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins,
14nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
17her family and friends, the passing of Teresa Lynn Bourn; and
18be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Teresa Bourn as an expression of our
21sympathy.
