SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death Sigmund Frank Faber of Bloomington, who passed away on April 4, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber was born to Joseph and Caroline Faber in Chicago on May 22, 1934; he married Marguerite Marie Guarino in River Grove on October 28, 1973; and

WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber worked as a diesel mechanic for Seng Trucking; he was a Korean War veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force; he was active in the VFW and always had the American Flag hanging outside of his home; and

WHEREAS, Sigmund was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; he loved elephants, John Wayne, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash and was known to wake his family up on July 4 to John Phillips Sousa at 5 a.m.; he had a great sense of humor and was always generous to those in need; and

WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shirley Faber (Ed) Stretch; his brother, U.S. Marine Ronald "Ronnie" Faber; and his cherished dog, Hawk; and

WHEREAS, Sigmund Faber is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years; his daughter, Michelle Caroline (Rodney Glynn) Henninger; his grandson, U.S. Navy Seaman Patrick Norris Henninger; his nieces and nephews, and his cherished dog, Marti and grandpuppies, AJ and Wally; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sigmund Frank Faber and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sigmund Faber as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
