SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Dennis "Bill" Hancock Sr.; and

WHEREAS, Bill Hancock was employed by Divane Brothers Electric Company for 44 years; he was a loyal member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Engineers Local 134 for over 68 years; and

WHEREAS, Bill Hancock Sr. was the beloved husband of Margaret Mary (Hogan) Hancock, the devoted father of William Hancock Jr., Michael (Melanie) Hancock, Terrence J. (Deirdre) Hancock, Kathleen (the late Steve) Short, and Patrick (Wendi) Hancock, the loving son of the late Dennis and Marie Hancock, the adored grandfather of Josh (Jenna), David, James (Courtney) Elizabeth (Kyle), Andrew (Taylor), Bryan, Colin (Casey), and Alexandra, the great-grandfather of Vivienne, Finnegan, and Caroline, the fond brother of Rosemary (the late Arch) Baird and John (Judith) Hancock, and the dear uncle of nine nieces and six nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William Dennis "Bill" Hancock Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bill Hancock Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
