HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Mary Beth Cassity on the occasion of her retirement from the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court Services and Probation Department after 31 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity served the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court from April 10, 1989 to April 30, 2020; she held the positions of Probation Officer, Senior Officer, Supervisor, and Drug Court Coordinator; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity has received numerous awards throughout her career, including the Illinois Probation and Court Services Association (IPCSA) Pauline Gansauer Award in 2018 and the IPCSA Distinguished Service Award in 2013; she received several Letters of Commendation, including one for Outstanding Performance as a Probation Officer in 2010, one from a mother of a client for outstanding service to her son in 2001, and one from the Tamaroa Public School District #5 for her outstanding efforts and making a lasting impression on the 7th and 8th grade classes; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity has been married to Brian for 35 years; they have two children, Chelsey and Kyle, and three grandchildren, Brody, Rowyn, and Brynn; and

WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity has lived her entire live in Tamaroa; she has served on the Pickneyville School Board and is a St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mary Beth Cassity on her retirement from the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court Services and Probation Department after 31 years of service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mary Beth Cassity as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
