HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Mary Beth Cassity on the
4occasion of her retirement from the Twentieth Judicial Circuit
5Court Services and Probation Department after 31 years of
6service; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity served the Twentieth Judicial
8Circuit Court from April 10, 1989 to April 30, 2020; she held
9the positions of Probation Officer, Senior Officer,
10Supervisor, and Drug Court Coordinator; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity has received numerous awards
12throughout her career, including the Illinois Probation and
13Court Services Association (IPCSA) Pauline Gansauer Award in
142018 and the IPCSA Distinguished Service Award in 2013; she
15received several Letters of Commendation, including one for
16Outstanding Performance as a Probation Officer in 2010, one
17from a mother of a client for outstanding service to her son in
182001, and one from the Tamaroa Public School District #5 for
19her outstanding efforts and making a lasting impression on the
207th and 8th grade classes; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity has been married to Brian for
2235 years; they have two children, Chelsey and Kyle, and three

1grandchildren, Brody, Rowyn, and Brynn; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Mary Beth Cassity has lived her entire live in
3Tamaroa; she has served on the Pickneyville School Board and
4is a St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
6HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
7we congratulate Mary Beth Cassity on her retirement from the
8Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court Services and Probation
9Department after 31 years of service; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to Mary Beth Cassity as a symbol of our respect and
12esteem.
