HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Atlanta Braves Manager and Illinois native Brian Snitker on guiding his team to the 2021 World Series Championship; and

WHEREAS, Brian Snitker was born in Decatur on October 17, 1955; he grew up in Macon, where he attended Macon High School and played right field for their baseball team; and

WHEREAS, Brain Snitker became manager of the Atlanta Braves in 2016; and

WHEREAS, Brian Snitker was named the National League Manager of the Year for the 2018 season; and

WHEREAS, Brain Snitker and the Atlanta Braves secured their first World Series title in 26 years by defeating the Houston Astros 7 to 0 on November 2, 2021; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Brian Snitker on guiding his team to the 2021 World Series Championship, and we wish him many more successful seasons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Brian Snitker as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
