SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Zachary Edward "Zach" Causey of Smithton, formerly of New Athens, who passed away on April 23, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Zach Causey was born in Belleville to Mark Edward and Patricia Ann (Gillis) Causey on September 22, 1990; and

WHEREAS, Zach Causey was an electrical control specialist at Granite City Steel in Granite City; and

WHEREAS, Zach Causey loved wood turning, gardening, astrology, star gazing, and camping with his family; he experimented with making wine and was very adept at intricately detailed arts and crafts; and

WHEREAS, Zach Causey is survived by his parents; his children, Felicity Rose, Daniel Edward, and Lilly May Causey; his brother, Seth John Henry Causey (Danielle Qualls); his sister, Emily Elizabeth Causey (Chance Deitrich); his grandmother, "Mee-maw" Janice Causey; and by his aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Zachary Edward "Zach" Causey and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Zach Causey as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
