SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Ellen (Corcoran) Knight, who passed away on November 4, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ellen Knight was born on July 12, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Mary Ellen Knight was the beloved wife of James Knight; the loving mother of Jason (Shannon), Dillon (Dominique), and the late Anthony "Tony" Knight; the dearest sister of Michele (the late Stan) Nowak, Tim (Jan) Corcoran, Maribeth (Tom) Purtle, Patti (Kevin) Walsh, and Liane (Jim) Birk; the dear sister-in-law of Fred (Christine) and the late Joseph Knight; and the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Ellen (Corcoran) Knight and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Ellen Knight as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
