1     AN ACT concerning government.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971
5 is amended by adding Sections 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, and 2.8 as
6 follows:

7     (5 ILCS 375/2.5 new)
8     Sec. 2.5. Application to Regional Transportation Authority
9 Board members. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act
10 to the contrary, this Act does not apply to any member of the
11 Regional Transportation Authority Board who first becomes a
12 member of that Board on or after the effective date of this
13 amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly with respect to
14 service of that Board.

15     (5 ILCS 375/2.6 new)
16     Sec. 2.6. Application to Suburban Bus Board members.
17 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act to the
18 contrary, this Act does not apply to any member of the Suburban
19 Bus Board who first becomes a member of that Board on or after
20 the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General
21 Assembly with respect to service of that Board.

2     Sec. 2.7. Application to Commuter Rail Board members.
3 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act to the
4 contrary, this Act does not apply to any member of the Commuter
5 Rail Board who first becomes a member of that Board on or after
6 the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General
7 Assembly with respect to service of that Board.

8     (5 ILCS 375/2.8 new)
9     Sec. 2.8. Application to Chicago Transit Authority Board
10 members. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act to the
11 contrary, this Act does not apply to any member of the Chicago
12 Transit Authority Board who first becomes a member of that
13 Board on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of
14 the 98th General Assembly with respect to service of that
15 Board.

16     Section 10. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding
17 Sections 22-105, 22-106, 22-107, and 22-108 as follows:

18     (40 ILCS 5/22-105 new)
19     Sec. 22-105. Application to Regional Transportation
20 Authority Board members. This Code does not apply to any
21 individual who first becomes a member of the Regional
22 Transportation Authority Board on or after the effective date
23 of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly with

1 respect to service on that Board.

2     (40 ILCS 5/22-106 new)
3     Sec. 22-106. Application to Suburban Bus Board members.
4 This Code does not apply to any individual who first becomes a
5 member of the Suburban Bus Board on or after the effective date
6 of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly with
7 respect to service on that Board.

8     (40 ILCS 5/22-107 new)
9     Sec. 22-107. Application to Commuter Rail Board members.
10 This Code does not apply to any individual who first becomes a
11 member of the Commuter Rail Board on or after the effective
12 date of this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly with
13 respect to service on that Board.

14     (40 ILCS 5/22-108 new)
15     Sec. 22-108. Application to Chicago Transit Authority
16 Board members. This Code does not apply to any individual who
17 first becomes a member of the Chicago Transit Authority Board
18 on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the
19 98th General Assembly with respect to service on that Board.

20     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
21 becoming law.
