Amends the County Jail Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the sheriff as warden of the jail.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning criminal law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The County Jail Act is amended by changing Section 2 as follows:

(730 ILCS 125/2) (from Ch. 75, par. 102)

Sec. 2. The The Sheriff of each county in this State shall be the warden of the jail of the county, and have the custody of all prisoners in the jail, except when otherwise provided in the "County Department of Corrections Act".
