SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 3930/7.5

Amends the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning grants for electronic recording equipment.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Criminal Justice Information Act is amended by changing Section 7.5 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3930/7.5)

Sec. 7.5. Grants for electronic recording equipment.

(a) The Authority, from appropriations made to it for that purpose, shall make grants to local law enforcement agencies for the the purpose of purchasing equipment for electronic recording of interrogations.

(b) The Authority shall promulgate rules to implement this Section.
