HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize the impending nuptials of Megan Maureen Korczynski and Kevin P. Gow, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Megan Maureen Korczynski looks forward, with great excitement and anticipation, to the adventure and sojourn of love and marriage that she is about to embark on; and

WHEREAS, Megan Maureen reflects fondly upon her years living and working in Chicago and graduating from the Chicago International Academy of Design and Technology; and

WHEREAS, Kevin P. Gow, Jr. shares Megan Maureen's joy and jubilation and fondly reflects upon living and working in Chicago, and earning his master's degree from Chicago DePaul University; he looks forward to his adventure as the husband protector and provider; and

WHEREAS, The values learned from the father of the groom, a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps, and the late Mrs. Gow, have provided Kevin the qualities of great character, competence, vision, and drive; they have created a leader, and the father of the groom is proud knowing his son's formative years, as the son of a Marine, have provided him with the intestinal fortitude and knowledge necessary to stand as a "Top Gun" husband, father, and companion; and

WHEREAS, The father of the bride - Precinct Captain of the 33rd Ward, United States Marine circa 1960, Major, United States Air Force/Cap., Chicago Park District's Security Park Operations Manager, educator, and teacher - and the mother of the bride, stand proud knowing that the lessons Megan Maureen has learned from both father and mother have enabled her to develop a positive, predictable, environment where all are treated with respect and dignity; and

WHEREAS, The father and mother of the bride have instilled the qualities of strength, courage, and perseverance in Megan and have provided her with the necessary skills to be the "best" wife, which will put to good use her father's values of strength and perseverance; and

WHEREAS, The mother of the bride is both an educator and a teacher and is confident that Megan has acquired the grace and intellect so thoughtfully given; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize the impending nuptials of Megan Maureen Korczynski and Kevin P. Gow, Jr., and wish them many yeas of marital bliss; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Megan Korczynski and Kevin Gow, Jr. as an expression of our esteem and respect.
