HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Pastor Wade Hudson on his consecration as Bishop on June 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson serves Moses Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago; he entered the ministry in 2001 and was elected Pastor of Moses Temple in January of 2011; he has organized clothing and toy drives, fed those who are in need, and helped church members and those in the community with job placement, resume services, and expungements; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago; he is a graduate of Percy L. Julian High School and is a 22-year United Stats Army Veteran, serving multiple tours of duty, including 2 for Operation Enduring Freedom; he continues to work for the Department of Veterans Affairs and started his own not-for-profit organization to assist veterans with housing, employment, services, and job training; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson earned his associates degree in psychology from Harold Washington College; he studied theology at Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute in Houston, Texas, where he received his doctorate and master's degrees; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Pastor Wade Hudson on his consecration as Bishop and wish him many years of success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Pastor Hudson as an expression of our esteem and respect.
