HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of A.G.S. Final Call on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of their initiation into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through the Eta Tau Chapter seated at Illinois State University, which occurred on May 3, 1990; and

WHEREAS, The members of A.G.S. Final Call include Bernard Boston, Maurice Muhammed, Rodney D. Caffey, Sam Hall, Mike Buie, Elgie R. Sims, Jr., Leon J. Hendricks, and John "Scotty" Sargent; and

WHEREAS, The members of A.G.S. Final Call have had a positive impact on the Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University communities as student leaders and advocates, which included several members being leaders in student government, student officers, and officers of Eta Tau Chapter; and

WHEREAS, The members of A.G.S. Final Call went on to graduate from Illinois State University or Illinois Wesleyan University following their time as successful members of the Eta Tau Chapter; and

WHEREAS, After leaving college, the members of A.G.S. Final Call went on to successful careers in law, business, government, education, finance, and communications, as well as becoming active in their churches and civic organizations, whose mission is to positively impact the community; and

WHEREAS, The true impact of the members of A.G.S. Final Call have been as husbands and fathers, working to raise families who will continue to positively impact our communities; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of A.G.S. Final Call on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of their initiation into the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, through the Eta Tau Chapter; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the members of A.G.S. Final Call as an expression of our esteem and respect.
