HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert J. Dowey (Dynkowski) of Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dowey was born on September 24, 1948 in Chicago and was a lifelong Chicago resident; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dowey served his country with pride as a member of the United States Air Force in Alaska during the late 1960s; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dowey had a passion for photography which started as a hobby and led to a career, starting with his work for the First National Bank of Chicago; from there, his work was sought after by many eminent organizations and events in Chicago; he was the official photographer of the Chicago International Film Festival, the Hilton Hotel, and the Emmy Awards, and his work was featured in CS Magazine, Michigan Avenue, the Chicago Tribune, and the Chicago Sun-Times; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dowey is survived by his partner, Armando Munoz; his father, Chester Dynkowski; his brothers, James Dynkowski, and his partner, David, and John Dynkowski and his wife, Nancy; his niece, Beth; and his nephew, Michael; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert J. Dowey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Dowey as an expression of our sympathy.
