HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sally A. McElfresh on the occasion of her retirement from PNC Bank after 36 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Sally McElfresh began her career in 1973 at the then Commercial National Bank working part-time in the purchasing department; she left to have children and begin raising her family; she returned to the auditing department in 1978; and

WHEREAS, Sally McElfresh has provided invaluable service as an executive assistant to bank presidents Robert Steveson and Douglas Stewart, executive vice-presidents Bruce "Skip" Snyder and Brock Hessing Sr., finance officer Roger Allen, and Kim Dixon in community relations and Kent Malone in corporate banking; and

WHEREAS, Sally McElfresh, as an executive assistant to vice-president David R. Leitch, was instrumental in the bank's First Grant program, which over 28 years has provided nearly $500,000 to area teachers with innovative classroom ideas; she has assisted retired Executive Vice-President Warren Webber with overseeing the Detweiller Trust; and

WHEREAS, Sally McElfresh is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, John; her children, Andrea, Rick, Jessica, and Jennifer; and her grandchildren, Naomi, Nathan, Carly Ann, Grant, Bella, Benjamin, and Jackson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sally McElfresh on her outstanding career and her retirement and wish her the best in all her future endeavours; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sally McElfresh as an expression of our esteem and respect.
