HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of William T. "Bill" Ryan of Rockford, who passed away on October 11, 2013; and

WHEREAS, William Ryan was born on August 31, 1942 to Genevieve and James R. Ryan; he married Sheila Morris on June 5, 1965; they relocated to Rockford in 1974; and

WHEREAS, William Ryan worked as a successful industrial sales representative until his retirement; and

WHEREAS, William Ryan was involved in numerous groups during his lifetime; he was an active member of the Holy Family Parish, past President of the Elks Club #64, past President of the Irish Marching Society, and a long-time member of the American Lombardi Society and the Verdi Club; and

WHEREAS, William Ryan was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bobby; his mother and father-in-law, Genevieve and Edward Morris; and his in-laws, Karl Ogren, Mary Connelly, Robert Morris, and Edward Morris; and

WHEREAS, William Ryan is survived by his wife, Sheila; his daughters, Jane (John) Barelli and Kathy Ryan; his son, Jim (Nancy) Ryan; his grandchildren, Kate, Ryan, Sean, and Anna Barelli, William Ryan, and Daniel, Genevieve, and Molly Ryan; his siblings, James (Rosalie) Ryan, Russell (Ginny) Ryan, and Julie Ogren; his in-laws, Patty Morris, Kathy (David) Malane, Claire (Michael) Sills, Rita (Jules) Cassel, and Erin Morris; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William T. "Bill" Ryan, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Ryan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
