HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate sophomore Sydney Dusel of Naperville Central High School on winning the 2013 State championship in diving; and

WHEREAS, Sydney Dusel has only been participating in the sport of diving for 2 years now and has already claimed a State championship with a score of 450.55 points, beating her closest opponent by 24 points; and

WHEREAS, Sydney Dusel is the first female diver in Naperville Central High School history to win State; and

WHEREAS, Sydney Dusel saved her 3 most difficult dives for the end so she could have a "big finish" and clinched the State title with a 2-1/2 twister; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sydney Dusel on winning the 2013 State championship in diving, and wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sydney Dusel as an expression of our esteem and respect.
