1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate Christian Reid Mack on the
4 occasion of achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

5     WHEREAS, Christian Mack is a resident of Round Lake,
6 Illinois and is currently in 8th grade at St. Gilbert School in
7 Grayslake; and

8     WHEREAS, Christian Mack joined the Cub Scouts upon entering
9 the 1st grade and earned the highest rank in Cub Scouts, the
10 Arrow of Life, on January 21, 2011; he joined Boy Scout Troop
11 96 on in February of 2011 and advanced to the ranks of
12 Tenderfoot on July 25, 2011, Second Class on August 1, 2011,
13 and First Class on August 29, 2011; after reaching the rank of
14 Star Scout on July 2, 2012, he continued his journey by earning
15 the rank of Life Scout on January 7, 2013; and

16     WHEREAS, As a Life Scout, Christian Mack started his Eagle
17 Project, where he supported the Equestrian Connection's
18 mission to help those with special needs connect with horses;
19 and

20     WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout was bestowed upon
21 Christian Mack by the Boy Scouts of America at a Court of Honor

1 ceremony on December 12, 2013; and

2     WHEREAS, Christian Mack has earned 25 Merit Badges; he is a
3 member of Order of the Arrow and Brotherhood and has served as
4 a Troop 96 Order of the Arrow representative and as Den Chief
5 for Pack 627; and

6     WHEREAS, Christian Mack has been the recipient of 3
7 Catholic religious emblem awards, the Light of Christ, Par Vuli
8 Dei, and Ad Altare Dei; and

9     WHEREAS, Christian Mack serves as a model of hard work,
10 integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
11 Illinois; therefore, be it

12     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13 NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14 we congratulate Christian Reid Mack on the occasion of
15 achieving the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him
16 continued success and happiness in the future; and be it
17 further

18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to Christian Mack as a symbol of our esteem and
20 respect.
