SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Maurice E. "Skip" Keniley of O'Fallon,
4who passed away on March 29, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was born on December 22, 1932 in
6East St. Louis; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was employed with Mobil Oil in
8Joliet for nearly 40 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley served his country as a member of
10the United States Air Force in Suwon, South Korea during the
11Korean Conflict; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was a member of the Veterans of
13Foreign Wars in Fairview Heights, St. Clare Catholic Church,
14and St. Clare Seniors; he was a 3rd Degree Knight with O'Fallon
15Knights of Columbus Council 4239 and a 4th Degree Knight with
16Assembly 1829; he was also a member of the Ancient Order of
17Hibernians; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley was preceded in death by his first
19wife, Carole (nee Stites) Keniley; his parents, Patrick M.
20Keniley, Jr. and Bessie (nee Cochran) Keniley; his daughter,

1Maura Pedersen; and his brothers, Patrick Keniley, Jr. and
2Emmet Keniley; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Maurice Keniley is survived by his wife, Gayle
4(nee Sibert) Keniley; his children, Michael (Marsha) Keniley,
5Mary Sebby, Martin (Nancy) Keniley, Norman Keniley, Margaret
6(Dale) Hanson, Teresa (Joseph) Coccaro, and Sean Keniley; his
7step-children, Craig (Jenny) Literski, Brett (fiancee,
8Stephanie) Literski, and Melissa (Chad) Allen; his
9brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George Sibert, Jackie
10Keniley, Patty Werner, and Darrell Stites; and his many
11grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and special nieces and
12nephews; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Maurice E. "Skip"
16Keniley; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Maurice Keniley as an expression of
19our sympathy.
