SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lawrence C. Szempruch of Gurnee, formerly of Chicago, who passed away on April 18, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch was a production manager in printing and sales before retiring; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch served his country as a United States Marine in Korea; he was also actively involved in the United States Marine Corps League of Lake County, especially Young Marines, Color Guard, and Toys For Tots; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch enjoyed fishing and shared this passion with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Mary Ann, and his wife, Bernadine; and

WHEREAS, Lawrence Szempruch is survived by a daughter, Laura (Larry) Otter; a son, Brian Szempruch; siblings, Patricia Whitlock, Diane (Jim) Flebbe, and Walter Szempruch; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Lawrence C. Szempruch; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lawrence Szempruch as an expression of our sympathy.
