SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ralph R. Dantino of Geneva, who passed away on February 18, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino was born on September 8, 1956, in Chicago to Michael and Serafina (Nasca) Dantino; he graduated from Holy Cross High School in River Grove and spent his career in sales in the heating and ventilation industry and was a partner/owner of Kast Marketing; he married Nancy on June 29, 1984; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino was a longtime resident of Geneva and believed in giving back to his community; he coached his children's sports teams and was a board member of the Tri-City Soccer Association; he and his wife, Nancy, co-chaired the St. Peter Catholic Church Barn Sale and were dedicated volunteers for that event for many years; he was a past member of the Geneva School Board and Geneva Plan Commission and was serving as alderman of the Fifth Ward to the Geneva City Council; he volunteered at countless community, school, and church events; he enjoyed sports of all kinds and attending sporting events, especially Chicago Bears games; he enjoyed Geneva High School football games, traveling, vacationing with his family, coaching, puzzles, sports, and back-yard cookouts; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino was preceded in death by his mother, Serafina; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Dantino is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Tom (Marianna), Sara, Russell, Lindsey, and Drew; his grandchildren, Nicolette, Gabriella, and Salvatore; his father, Michael; his brother, Michael (Cathy); his sister, Lisa (Ray) Kind; his aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and a host of friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ralph Dantino, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ralph Dantino as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
