SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Endia Mickey Martin, who passed away on April 28, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Endia Martin was born on May 26, 1999 in Chicago; her parents were Jonie Dukes and Monroe Martin; and

WHEREAS, Endia Martin graduated from Dewey Grammar School in the spring of 2013; after starting her first day of school as a freshman at CVS, she transferred to Tilden High School; and

WHEREAS, Endia Martin will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her for her confident, bubbly, and outgoing demeanor; and

WHEREAS, Endia Martin is survived by her mother and stepfather, Jones Dukes-Kennedy (Kent); her father, Monroe Martin; 4 siblings, Tinesa (Teddy), Mykia, Darius, and Kenya (Coco); a special nephew, Terrion; a special niece, Torriana; a special friend, Tyree Humphries; and many other family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Endia Mickey Martin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Endia Martin as an expression of our sympathy.
