SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dominic Joseph Sacramento of Waukegan, who passed away on May 27, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Dominic Sacramento was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force in Japan; and

WHEREAS, Dominic Sacramento retired as a manager with Crystal Greeting in Waukegan in 1988 after 16 years; and

WHEREAS, Dominic Sacramento was a member of the Gurnee American Legion and St. Dismas Church in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Dominic Sacramento was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Domenica; and

WHEREAS, Dominic Sacramento is survived by sister, Grace (Frank) Schantz; 2 brothers, Joseph and Anthony (Lois) Sacramento; nieces and nephews, Frank (Melinda) Schantz, Jr., Mark (Martha) Schantz, Joann (Jeff) Cooksey, Anthony (Lynn) Sacramento, Jr., Cindy (Pete) Rucks, Patti (Pat) Shanders, Kathy (Scott) Kreul, and Rob (Mary) Sacramento; and 21 great-nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dominic Joseph Sacramento, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dominic Sacramento as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
