SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas S. Melzl of Edison Park; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Melzl retired from the Chicago Fire Department after 32 years of service on Truck 10; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Melzl was the beloved husband of the late Joanne P. Melzl; the loving father of Thomas J. (Kerri) Melzl; the proud grandfather of Thomas B. and Peter J. Melzl; and the dear brother of Mary Anne Leff; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Thomas S. Melzl; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Melzl as an expression of our sympathy.
