SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wesley B. Peak, who passed away on
4September 7, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wesley Peak began his firefighting career with the
6Peotone Fire Protection District, where he found his love for
7the fire service; he was a distinguished member of many
8Southland departments throughout his career, including service
9as a firefighter at the Citgo Fire Department in Lemont; while
10going to paramedic school, he worked at Kurtz Ambulance
11Service; he subsequently worked for the Westmont, Flossmoor,
12and Monee Fire Departments before making his way to the Orland
13Fire Protection District; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Wesley Peak was a 7-year veteran of the Orland
15Fire Protection District; after graduating with the Orland Fire
16District Class of 2007, he was officially sworn in on September
1724, 2008 after successfully completing his probationary year;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Throughout Wesley Peak's career, he worked hard to
20continue his education and earned many Illinois State Fire
21Marshal Certifications; and

1    WHEREAS, Wesley Peak is survived by his wife, Melissa; his
2son, Jaxson; and his parents, William and Linda; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Wesley Peak served as a model of hard work,
4integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of
5Illinois; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Wesley B. Peak; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Wesley Peak as an expression of our
12sympathy.
