SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Naomi D. Williams of Oak Park, who passed away on May 17, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Naomi Williams was born on July 7, 1919; and

WHEREAS, Naomi Williams was a past-member of the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association, the Senior Citizens Center of Oak Park-River Forest, and the River Forest Community Center, and she was a volunteer for the Economy Shop, the Community Chest of Oak Park-River Forest, and the Oak Park Health Department; and

WHEREAS, Naomi Williams was preceded in death by her son, Robert; and

WHEREAS, Naomi Williams is survived by her children, Richard (Rose Ann), Gail (James) Kennedy, and Thomas (Elizabeth), and her grandchildren, Erin L. Woods and Amy Kennedy Romero; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Naomi D. Williams, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Naomi Williams as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
