SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Ann Kaucic, who passed away on July
425, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Kaucic was born on March 18, 1932 to Paul and
6Anna (nee Stanczak) Rygiel; she graduated from Holy Rosary
7Grade School in 1946 and Holy Child High School in Waukegan in
81950; she married Frank Kaucic on May 10, 1958; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mary Kaucic worked as a clerk at the Great Lakes
10Naval Base and dedicated her life to being a wonderful wife,
11mother, and homemaker; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mary Kaucic was a Eucharistic Minister at Queen of
13Peace (Most Blessed Trinity) and a member of the Sodality of
14Our Lady and the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America; she
15enjoyed baking, bowling, and golf; she also enjoyed her garden,
16especially her roses, and could often be seen wearing orchids
17which were tokens of love from her husband; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Mary Kaucic was preceded in death by parents; her
19brothers, Paul, Al, Joseph, and Edward (Weaser) Rygiel; and her
20sisters, Tillie Beres, Millie Macrowski, and Adeline Wozniak;

1    WHEREAS, Mary Kaucic was the devoted wife of Frank; the
2loving mother of Barbara (Matt) Brown and Cheryl (Tom)
3Norstrem; the proud grandmother of David and Ben Brown and
4Cassie, Melissa, and Christopher Norstrem; and the sister of
5John (Betty) Rygiel; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Mary Ann Kaucic, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Mary Kaucic as an expression of our
13deepest sympathy.
