SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jody Lee Alsup-Young of Lindenwood, who
4passed away on September 21, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young was born in Sandwich on May 30,
61975 to Michael and Barbara (nee Smith) Alsup; she graduated
7from DeKalb High School in 1993 and the Kishwaukee College
8Nursing Program and attended Northern Illinois University; she
9married Scott David Young on October 6, 2012; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young worked as a nurse at the office
11of Dr. Ignacio Omengan and for the Order of St. Francis of
12Assissi Saint Anthony Medical Center, both in Rockford; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young enjoyed doing crafts, such as
14scrapbooking and photography; she was active in her sons'
15school functions in Lindenwood and volunteered as a technician
16for infant and child car seats; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young was preceded in death by her
18paternal grandmother, Mary Alsup-Alvis; maternal grandparents,
19A. Lee Smith and Virgil Smith; aunt and uncle, Phyllis and Tom
20Perkins; uncle, Christopher Alsup; and step-grandfather, Clyde
21Alvis; and

1    WHEREAS, Jody Alsup-Young is survived by her husband,
2Scott; sons, Garrett and Jacob Hackbarth; parents, Mike and
3Barb Alsup; brother, Michael J. (Jenny) Alsup; 3 nephews and a
4niece; her paternal grandfather, Joseph Alsup; several aunts,
5uncles, and cousins; her mother-in-law, Mary Hopp; and 2
6sisters-in-law, Stephanie Young and Stacy Young; therefore, be
7it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Jody Lee Alsup-Young, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jody Alsup-Young as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
