SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Patricia Medin of Oak Park, who passed away on September 13, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Medin earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Concordia University in 1995; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Medin was well known for her dedication to being kind and compassionate to each patient; she had a special place in her heart for the elderly and touched each patient she cared for with warmth, joy, and hope; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Medin enjoyed oil painting, her painting lessons with her special friend and art teacher, sharing stories, traveling, the outdoors, flowers and trees, and spending time with her partner, her children, and her friends; and

WHEREAS, Patricia Medin is survived by her partner of 28 years, Gail Zarbin; 4 daughters, Erica and Kimberly Medin, Danielle, and Jorie; and 2 grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Patricia Medin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Patricia Medin as an expression of our sympathy.
