SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bernadine Boyke of North Chicago, who passed away on March 10, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke was born on August 28, 1939, in Waukegan; her parents were Sever and Rose Glogovsky; she married Robert G. Boyke on November 29, 1958, at Holy Family Church; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke lived in the Waukegan/North Chicago area her entire life; she graduated from Holy Family and North Chicago Community High Schools and was a devout member of Holy Family and Queen of Peace Catholic Church; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke enjoyed traveling, gardening, being outdoors, reading, word puzzles, and spending time with her family; she particularly enjoyed attending her grandchildren's plays, band performances, and athletic events; and

WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her children, John (Jan), Diane, David (Kim), Robert, and William (Christine) Boyke; her grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica, Taylor, Brynne, Michael, Bobby, and Johnny; and her sisters, Shirley Graupman and Janet Smith (Kendall); therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Bernadine Boyke; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bernadine Boyke as an expression of our sympathy.
