SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Nicholas John Meyer of Lockport, who
4passed away on June 9, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Nicholas Meyer was born in Joliet; he had
6completed his freshman year at Lockport Township High School
7(LTHS); and
 
8    WHEREAS, Nicholas Meyer enjoyed school and all of his
9teachers especially Mrs. Craig, Mr. Jeglinski, Mrs. Stachnik,
10Ms. McAllister, and Ms. Gustafson and he liked to spend time
11helping in the East Campus attendance office with Mrs. Fraser
12and Mrs. Bellair; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Nicholas Meyer always looked forward to Friday
14night LTHS basketball games and watching his dad in action
15coaching; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Nicholas Meyer's favorite activity was horseback
17riding on Big Joe and Big Al at Nova Quarter Horses in Mokena
18and enjoyed many laughs with instructors Nicole and Ross; he
19also enjoyed camping at Silver Lake Michigan with his family
20and his dog, "Duke"; and

1    WHEREAS, Nicholas Meyer is survived by his parents, John
2Sr. and Diane (Ramos) Meyer; his brothers, Kyle Petges, Chris
3Petges, and John Meyer Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Richard
4and Joyce Ramos; his paternal grandparents, John and Anita
5Meyer; his special friend, Emily; his neighbor and friend, Paul
6Bertino; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Nicholas Meyer, and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friend, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Nicholas Meyer as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
