SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret "Peggy" Ann Hilyard, who passed away on June 8, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Hilyard was born on July 15, 1935, in Bunker Hill; her parents were Lawrence Albert and Elizabeth "Bess" Bond Noel; she married James Ray Hilyard on May 30, 1953, in Bunker Hill; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Hilyard was a homemaker and a member of the Bunker Hill Lions Club; she loved flowers, taking care of family and friends, and baking; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Hilyard was preceded in death by her parents; her grandchildren, Jon Hilyard and Josh Hilyard; her sisters, Bernice Bond and Sandra Jean Rose; and her brother, Lawrence Noel Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Hilyard is survived by her husband, James; her daughter, Mary Ann Hicks (Terry); her son, Dennis Hilyard; her grandchildren, Matt Hilyard (Lori), Jasen Hilyard, Jake Hilyard, Ashley Archibee-Hadley (Michael), and Aaron Archibee; her great-grandchildren, Maddy Hilyard, Masen Hilyard, Jeremiah Hilyard, and Jalena Hilyard; her sister, Rosemary Woods; and her brothers, Russell "Buzzy" Noel (Anita) and Marshall "Slim" Noel (Ginger); therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Margaret "Peggy" Ann Hilyard; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret Hilyard as an expression of our sympathy.
