SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Sharon R. Foote of Libertyville, who
4passed away on June 24, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sharon Foote was born on October 8, 1943, in
6Libertyville to Robert F. and Gladys E. (Giss) Foote and was a
7lifelong resident; she graduated from Libertyville High School
8in 1961 and earned her bachelors' degree in languages from
9Illinois Wesleyan University in 1965 and her masters' degree in
10school administration from Roosevelt University; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Sharon Foote taught Spanish at North Chicago High
12School for over 30 years, retiring in 1994; she was a member of
13the Illinois Education Association and the American Federation
14of Teachers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Sharon Foote was a member of the First
16Presbyterian Church in Libertyville, where she served as a
17deacon and volunteer and helped coordinate the church
18newsletter; she was an avid fan of the Blackhawks, the Bears,
19and the Cubs and enjoyed traveling in the United States,
20Mexico, South America, Europe, and to visit her family in
21Michigan; and

1    WHEREAS, Sharon Foote was preceded in death by her parents;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Sharon Foote is survived by her brother, Dwayne E.
4Foote; her nephew, Robert E. Foote (Jennifer); her niece, Debra
5L. Prinzing (Erik); her great-nephews and nieces, Jason and
6Erin Prinzing and Allison and Brayden Foote; her aunt, Adeline
7Foote; and her cousins, Mary and Thomas Foote; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Sharon R. Foote, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Sharon Foote as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
