SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marina (nee Spiropoulos) Alexis, who passed away on May 21, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Marina Alexis was the beloved wife of Constantine "Dino" Alexis; the loving mother of John, Bob, and Frank (Despina "Penny") Alexis; the yiayia (grandmother) of Marina, Niki, and Dean; the dear sister of Alice (the late Danny) Barbarigos, Diane (James) Panos, Helen Edwards, James Spiropoulos, Rita Johnson, and the late Pam Johnsen; and the fond aunt of many nieces and nephews here and in Greece; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marina Alexis, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marina Alexis as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
